This week’s two-day negotiations between your bargaining team, made up of your local union leadership and fellow Stop & Shop members, and the Company wrapped today. Over the past two days, we exchanged multiple proposals on general wage increases.
We are intent on delivering you a contract that guarantees meaningful wage increases, robust health benefits, and strong protections. While we are making progress, we will continue to meet with the Company next week on the issue of general wage increases. We made it clear to the Company that your hard work and sacrifices during these unprecedented times must be met with a contract that reflects them.
We will meet again next week, on February 22nd, where we will continue to negotiate for the strong contact you deserve. We will continue to keep you updated after each bargaining session, and in the meantime please make sure you and your union coworkers are receiving all updates.
